Fore Beam

The catamarans forbeam construction took about five days.

It utilised some rather blocks of timber which we constructed from off cuts of ply, glued and screwed to form solid sections. Together with a solid middle section they formed the backbone of the build. Onto this we glued the other sections finally forming a very strong 6m fore beam

Areas here were increased to accommodate other bits we though necessary and for eye-appeal.

We took up the option of rounding the forward part of the beam (very easy to do when you know how) and decided to place an internal electrical pipe for later use with spotlights.

The final job came up well with a stippled finish at the outer sections.
