Fibreglass and resins come together to seal the catamaran from the elements, finally.

OK... its here that we must really get honest. The glassing is a breeze, but the fairing...dear, dear, dear. We are happy that it is over.

The whole top deck was glassed over two days and the fairing compound toweled soon after the glassing. It too went on very fast.

We tried every conceivable option to speed the sanding up, but there is no fast way. The standard elbow-grease and long boards are the only go using the spray-paint or acetone-black techniques.

While they showed the blemishes more easily, it was good old hard work that did the job. They say the finish here is important as the high build will remove smaller indentations, but not the larger ones, of which we had a few.
